Bravo to our Whitman Voices who gave an outstanding vocal performance at the Long Island Choral Festival.  Their individual performance of beautiful, energizing musical selections, along with joining our choral guests from Huntington and Commack, was nothing short of amazing, inspiring community spirit.  A special thank you to our Choral Director, Mr. Steven Altinel, for bringing this vocal festive evening of incredible young talent to our Whitman Performing Arts Center.

“Walt Whitman High School would like to congratulate Mr. Altinel and the Voices of Whitman for hosting ‘Festival of High School Choirs’ this past Saturday, during which ensembles from Commack, Huntington and Whitman had the opportunity to work with guest conductor and composer Francisco Nuñez,” said Whitman Principal John Murphy.  “The groups each performed individually and then altogether in a spirited, energetic final musical selection."
