Great teachers have high expectations for their students and bridge the gap between home and school through constant communication. They have a genuine interest in the well-being of their students and work hard to ensure a bright future for each. Stimson Middle School’s nominee for Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Shari Daniello, exemplifies each of these qualities.  For Mrs. Daniello, teaching is a twelve month position as she supports the needs of her students in the Extended School Year Program throughout July and August. Her class is a “home away from home” for all in her care. She not only educates them, but advocates for them as well.  She frequently visits the homes of her students and communicates with each family on a daily basis. She establishes goals for each person in her room and strives to support her students as they progress throughout the year.

Although this veteran teacher has provided decades of service to students, her passion for teaching and serving has never diminished. Congratulations, Mrs. Shari Daniello, Stimson Teacher of the Year!
