We hear from Varsity Cheer coach Tracy Koch that the girls had an amazing trip this year. “They had a great time competing and bonding at last weekend's prestigious National Championship in Orlando, Florida,” said Coach Koch. “There is really nothing in comparison to the experience of coming here [Walt Disney World Resort] with their teammates. A memory that will last a lifetime!”

The Whitman Cheer Team made it through to the semifinals ranking 25th in the nation. “This team has overcome so many obstacles this season and continue to push themselves into success,” said Koch.  The team took 4th place at The Empire Regionals, 3rd place at Wantagh and 1st place at Northport. “I couldn't be more proud to be their coach! This is my 9th year coaching at Walt Whitman, my 4th year as Varsity coach and this years team holds a very special place in my heart because of their drive.”

But the Wildcat Cheerleaders are not done yet! The Suffolk County Championships are two weeks away. Go Wildcats!
