Walt Whitman Principal John Murphy and Chairperson of Guidance & Student Services Ms. Leah C. Lugoviña proudly announced the winners of the 2017 New York State Scholarship for Academic Excellence. The awards are based on a formula using Regents exams in English, Algebra 2/Trig, Global Studies, American History and Science (3 exams).  These 11 seniors have been awarded scholarships that will be able to be used for any college or university in New York State for the 2017-18 school year.
