South Huntington’s English Chairperson Ms. Joann Hili-Carbone along with English and Creative Writing teachers from Walt Whitman High School took a group of students from Whitman’s Xanadu Magazine and PawPrint Newspaper to New York City for the Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s 77th annual Fall Conference this past Monday, November 7th.

The group had a perfect day at Columbia University's historic Morningside Heights campus in uptown Manhattan.  Presented by Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) and hosted by Columbia University, the annual Fall Conference was a one-day regional conference offering sequences focused on writing, editing, management, design, photography and digital media.
