Varsity Head Football Coach Robin Rosa took 32 football players to the Jets Training facility in New Jersey last Wednesday and the experience was priceless. “I initially looked at the day as a team bonding experience,” said Rosa. “But when we walked into the facility and realized that we were being given a private day with the players, I realized right then that this was going to be a great learning experience for my team.”

The Wildcats was ushered to the sideline, a few yards from players they could only see on TV. “Listening to the leaders on the Jets team gave my players an insight into the tremendous work ethic that goes into playing at the pro level,” said Rosa. “When Jets linebacker David Harris barked at the younger players ‘If anyone’s walking…you’re cut,’ my players took note and they came away in awe, witnessing close-up the amount of hard work that goes into their day. The Jets go full speed start to finish, running from one drill to the next.”

Coach Rosa is looking for the experience to rub-off on his players as the team gets ready for their season. A big thanks to Whitman Guidance Counselor Ms. Kiva Boozer who arraigned for the Wildcats to experience this amazing close up with the NY Jets.
