Our students and staff had a very successful radio show taping. In fact, things went so well that the hosts expanded the time and decided that our students provided enough material for two programs.

On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, Walt Whitman students had the privilege of being able to showcase the high school and the various programs they are involved in on 103.9 WRCN with Mr. Robert Vecchio, host of the show "Spotlight on Long Island Schools".  Students from Leadership, Natural Helpers, and the Ambassador's club were on hand to explain why these clubs are so beneficial to the school and the positive effect they have on both staff and students.  Matt Birdsall, Noelle Brygmann, Haley Tract, Brenda Mendez, Emily Blank, Julio Taku, Jordan Roiland, James Reilly, Tim Jobson, Laura Altieri, and Gabby Safian were in attendance and did a fantastic job describing what makes South Huntington such a wonderful place.
