Walt Whitman is proud to congratulate 10 of our students as the Town of Huntington’s Poetry for the Hart winners.  Out of the 18 works selected to be honored, 11 of them were from Walt Whitman High School.  This event is part of a Public Art Initiative, where teen poets (ages 14 - 18), residing or attending school in Huntington, were encouraged to submit original works to be displayed inside buses on ad panels on the Town’s HART bus system for a minimum of one year.
