Preston Park Takes Gold

At this past weekends USAT Connecticut State Championships, Preston took home three gold medals.

The United States Taekwondo season is in full swing, and we are proud to acknowledge that Oakwood first-grader Preston Park has been bringing home some impressive results. At the Denver International Taekwondo Festival this past February, Preston earned Gold in Form (POOMSAE), Silver in Breaking, and Silver in Sparring. Then at the USAT Maryland State Championships, he earned Gold in Sparring, and Bronze in Form (POOMSAE). Most recently at the 2016 USAT Connecticut State Championships for National Qualification, Preston earned Gold in Sparring, Gold in Form (POOMSAE), and Gold in Breaking. Preston trains out of the Maru TaeKwonDo School in Bethpage, NY.  He is presently competing in the Dragon Division comprising of 6-7 year olds.
