African-American Music to be Celebrated

The Walt Whitman African-American Heritage Club is sponsoring their first annual District-wide Black History production.  This year’s theme,'African-American Music throughout our History,' will be brought to life by students—from our youngest Kindergarten students to our high school seniors. Our South Huntington students will perform in choruses, bands, orchestras, and much more in celebrating Black History Month.

This celebration will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Walt Whitman High School’s Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.

We invite you to come and watch our students share their talents, as they highlight the musical contributions of many Black artists.  Additionally, there will be student displays and community artisans sharing their creativity.
