‘Coffee Tawk’ is one of those skits that had everyone hysterical as it reveals many of Whitman’s funnier moments.

On Friday evening, January 15th it was standing room only as Whitman's seniors held their annual "Follies" to the delight of everyone both on the stage and in the audience. "Follies" is a seriously fun time where the seniors perform skits and roast their favorite teachers, administrators and celebrate all that high school life can be. Skits included: Powderpuff Practice, Game Day for Dreher, Faculty Feud, Girls Song, Dance Lessons, Whitman News, and Graduation Song to name just a few.

Congratulations to the senior class for putting on one of the best Senior Follies shows in the last 10 years. The entire school community seemed to be present as a sold out crowd of over 600 had a roaring great time.  DECA sold refreshments, robotics launched shirts into the audience, seniors performed, administrators danced, parents and students watch with enthusiasm, and of course the talented students of video yearbook filmed.

Thank you to Ms. Zamow and all the students responsible for all their hard work and efforts. The seniors’ creativity and energy went unmatched and they all deserve a big Congrats!

Who will forget Mr. Murphy appearing numerous times dragging his bench to shine the light in all the new benches that have recently been placed in the front of the school, and of course the principal debate that featured Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, and the traditional Spartan cheerleader and coffee tawk skits had everyone hysterical. There were many cameos, and praise was also given to the New York State Champion Boys Varsity Soccer Team!

Special thanks to the Senior Class Officers for coordinating this fantastic event, Zachary Lanz for sound effects, Alex Dollin for lighting and special effects, Mr. Plompen and the Lamplighter team, SDE for sound equipment, the Whitman custodians, the South Huntington Library, and of course Mr. Murphy and the Walt Whitman Administrative team for being such good sports and participating in the show.
