Ms. Bertolino’s Kindergarten class at Countrywood Primary Center learned about Native Americans that lived on Long Island long ago.  As a culminating activity for the thematic unit, the children had a Powwow where each child was given a special Native American name, and they promised to take care of the Earth.  Students from other classes were invited to visit the class museum which included artifacts such as, deer antlers, rabbit fur, moccasins, and spears to name a few.  Parents were invited to listen to a medley of Thanksgiving songs and share in our special activity. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
