Giving thanks on this special holiday, the South Huntington school community has been busy for several weeks collecting food for the annual Thanksgiving food drive. A special thanks goes out to our district Social Workers who organized and coordinated this district-wide effort.

One by one, thankful members of the community made their way to the distribution center set up in the district offices on Weston Street where they were able to receive food for their Thanksgiving dinner. The South Huntington community came together in a very generous way for the needs of our families. On Wednesday evening, the day before Thanksgiving, Manor Field Family Center will be picking up the remaining food items so that they could continue to donate to the community, as our school buildings will be closed until Monday.

Thank you South Huntington Social Workers for helping to ensure that families in our school community will be able to sit down together on Thanksgiving and enjoying a wonderful meal.
