After so much inspiration, it’s time for our second-graders to settle in and get creative.
After so much inspiration, it’s time for our second-graders to settle in and get creative.

Countrywood second-graders from Mrs. Merola and Mrs. Zisel’s classes visited the Heckscher Museum of Art this past Thursday.  The children had an opportunity to see The Graphic Appeal exhibition, which celebrates the wide range of styles that artists have achieved in etching, lithography, silkscreen, wood cut, and more. In addition, a circa 1900 printmaking press, plates, and other tools were on view to bring the process to life.  This printmaking exhibition inspired the students’ curiosity and creativity for future visual art projects.
