The Boys Soccer Team defeated a physical Smithtown West team today in the Suffolk County Semifinals by the score of 2-0. Anthony Palazzolo got the Wildcats on the board in the first half off an assist by Witman Hernandez. Fabrizio Chamorro put the game out of reach when he buried a shot into the bottom left corner off a through ball by Hernandez. The back line of Eduardo Alfaro, Bobby Cerrito, Noel Reyes and Sean Zagorski limited the opportunities for Smithtown West. Austin Salas was strong in net to secure the shutout. This win puts Whitman back into the County Finals where they feel like they have some "unfinished business" from last year. The Wildcats will take on Brentwood for the championship. Please come out and support the team on Thursday night at 6:30pm at Dowling Sports Complex in Shirley. There will be a $6 entry fee.
