Down 22-7 at the half, Whitman rebounded for the second-half and worked their way back, almost taking the win. Final score 25-22 Sachem North. Isaiah Wilkerson, the Wildcats junior quarterback stepped up his game both passing and running. Wilkerson tossed a 44yard gift to Tyrese Betts for the Wildcats first touchdown in the 2nd quarter. Senior Will Villatoro’s kick was good. Wilkerson scored again in the 3rd quarter, this time with a 10-yard run. Again, Villatoro’s kick was right down the middle. The Wildcat defense had a tough assignment against a really good team and stiffened in the fourth quarter, helping to allow Jamari Brown to snag a short 4-yard pass from Wilkerson to close the gap. Tyrese Betts made a beautiful catch in the end zone for the two-point conversion, but time ran out on our Wildcats.
