Despite the weather and delayed school opening, the Walt Whitman Blood Drive on Friday, March 6th was a huge success.  A steady stream of donors came through the doors of the Blood Drive and donated 76 pints in 4 hours.

This blood donation comes at a time when blood bank levels are at all time lows during the challenging winter of 2015.  Thank you to all our captains who ran the drive!   Alexander Alachan, Alexa Arthur, Alison Calzada, Amy Chen, Lauren Connolly, Cesia Deras, Joanna Maniscalco, Katelyn Neuman, Jonathan O'Toole, Sherina Parra, Jennifer Sarnataro, Francine Sauer, Rachel Sundermier, Alyssa Torchonm, Megan Windt, and Hannah Zaiff.  The Blood Drive was led by the senior class officer team of: Sade Bamgbelu, Marissa Locastro, Leslie Portillo, Mahum Siddiqui, Gabrielle Vital, and Abigail Daniels.
