Countrywood hosted their second annual Read-In on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 to celebrate Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  This special day gathered many distinguished guests together to share their love of reading.

South Huntington staff including Dr. Bennardo, Dr. Centamore, and Ms. Michaelian joined Countrywood teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff members in this reading event.  In addition, Fire Chief Chuck Brady, Councilwoman Susan Berland, Board of Education Trustees Ms. Laura Carey and Ms. Lisa Brieff, and other community members shared their love of reading with our lucky students.

This was a memorable and rewarding experience for both the adults and children as they shared their favorite stories and spent time talking about books.  Community Read-In is our opportunity to make a difference and show our children that reading is FUNdamental!!!!
