In early December, Vincent Feola began the wrestling season by winning the Andrew Peers Memorial Tournament against a tough competitor in Conner Farrell from Sachem East. On Sunday, at the Suffolk County Championship Semi Finals, the only thing standing in the way of Feola advancing to the finals was Conner Farrell.

While the Peers Tournament signaled the beginning of the wrestling season, today’s Suffolk County Championships signaled the end of the season for many.  Farrell proved to be a tough competitor, but Feola had been there before and was not going to be denied a shot at his second Suffolk County Championship.

On Sunday night, after two days of wrestling, Feola, wrestling at 220-pounds, earned his second Suffolk County Title in a close 3-2 win against Anthony DiMatteo from Sachem North.  Feola will now travel to the Times Union Center in Albany for the 2015 State Wrestling Championships, February 27-28.

Congratulations Suffolk County Champion Vincent Feola!

In other wrestling news from the County Championships, Whitman's Terron Robinson, wrestling in the 285-pound class, made his way to the semi finals and ended the day with a 4th place finish earning All-County recognition. Congratulations Terron on a terrific season!
