Parents And Children Together (P.A.C.T) is in its 6th year at Countrywood Primary Center.  This extended day program is an early intervention class for English Limited Learners (ELL students) to support their academic growth in English and in their native language (Spanish).  Mrs. Rodriguez, Countrywood's kindergarten Dual Language teacher, meets with parents and children on Tuesdays from 2:45-3:45 p.m.   During the sessions, parents and children are engaged in make-it-and-take it activities as well as interactive SMARTBoard games.  Mrs. Rodriguez also models literacy development strategies that parents can continue to reinforce at home.

Pictured are parents working with their children to identify letters, sounds, and create words using magnetic alphabet letters.  The parents are also familiarized with videos and websites they could access at home.  Parents and children look forward to sharing this special time together in the classroom sharing ideas, learning new things, and most of all making new friends!
