The Suffolk County Boys Soccer Coaches Association dinner took place on Monday night, December 8th. The Wildcat team garnered many awards, but two awards that the coaches didn’t talk much about, are the ones that they themselves earned. And that’s understandably so, knowing the program and the class with which they conduct themselves. Congratulations to coach Robert Tedesco, the JV Suffolk League II coach of the year, whose team went undefeated for the 2nd straight year, and to the League II, Suffolk County Varsity Coach of the Year- John DiGiacomo.

“Coach Brian Karcz, Robert Tedesco and myself would like to congratulate our Suffolk County Award winners,” said Coach DiGiacomo.  “To be recognized by coaches from around Suffolk County is an honor they should hold in high regard.  It's a testament to the hard work and sacrifice they have given, both in and out of season, to the Walt Whitman Boys Soccer Program.”

The Whitman team had 7 players recognized this season along with their first "All State Player" in a very long time.  “As coaches, we are proud of not only what these boys accomplished, but also what our entire program has done these last few years,” said Coach DiGiacomo.
