A new program at Maplewood Intermediate School is garnering great news. The Bus Mentor Program assigns 2 teachers to each arriving bus. The staff boards the busses in the morning about once a month to review safety procedures and bus rules.  “A great benefit of the program is that it gives students another adult 'friend' in the school other than teachers they already have,” said Maplewood Principal Dr. Vito D’Elia.

“Thank you very much for being part of this program for the 2014-15 school year,” said Principal D’Elia in thanking his teachers.  “Your assistance in making this a reality is greatly appreciated, and the students are already embracing your presence on the bus.”

Thank You Maplewood teachers: Ms. Lourenco, Mr. Schmidt, Mr. Keogh, Ms. Belz, Mr. Fauci, Ms. Trzaska, Ms. Simonds, Ms. Brendel, Ms. Columbano, Ms. Garafalo, Mr. O’Connor, Mr. Dwyer, Ms. Colon, Ms. DeNoble, Mr. Rolon, Mr. Cardella, Mr. Campbell, Ms. Teeter, Ms. Dolan-Manner, Ms. Patino, Mr. Greco, Ms. Dulberg, Ms. Huss, Ms. Schumm, Ms. Cassano-Repole, and Dr. Bruno.
