“It was a great team win on Senior Night,” said coach Brian Karcz in his game write-up for morning announcements. The Boys Varsity Soccer Team regained sole possession of first place on Monday night with a convincing 3-1 victory over Hills East.

Witman Hernandez netted 2 goals including the eventual game winner right before halftime. Michael Lorello put the game out of reach in the second half. Sean Zagorski, Fabrizio Chamorro, and Witman picked up assists as well. Austin Salas made 3 saves in the win.

“This was a quality win against a very good team,” said Coach John DiGiacomo. “Their keeper made some really nice saves, and I felt we could have put a couple more in. We worked hard, but now we have to finish the job on Wednesday.”

The Wildcats finish the regular season on the road versus Bayshore. The team is looking to win their first league title in 18 years.
