Assemblyman CHAD A. LUPINACCI represents the 10th Assembly District which covers most of the Town of Huntington and a portion of the Town of Babylon in Suffolk County.

Lupinacci began his career in public service while in college by interning for his predecessor, Assemblyman James D. Conte, as part of the Assembly Internship Program.  Additionally, after a rigorous selection process, he was chosen to intern in First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton’s White House office, assisting with correspondence, speechwriting, and scheduling.  During his White House internship, Lupinacci also worked on archiving material for the Clinton Presidential Library.

Just prior to being elected to the New York State Assembly, Lupinacci served three terms as a Trustee for the South Huntington Union Free School District.  During his tenure as a school board member, Lupinacci worked diligently to improve graduation rates and the quality of district-wide education.

As a professor, Lupinacci’s main interests lie in the area of American politics, especially the American presidency, and state and local government.  He constantly strives to integrate his unique experiences in various levels of government into his classroom lessons.

Lupinacci was elected to the New York State Assembly on November 6, 2012.  Lupinacci is a life-long resident of the Town of Huntington.  He graduated from Walt Whitman High School in 1997, and is a parishioner at St. Hugh of Lincoln Roman Catholic Church.  Lupinacci credits his love for learning, teaching, and public service to his unforgettable experiences at WWHS and the strong sense of community in the Town of Huntington.

Lupinacci received his B.A. in political science from Hofstra University; his J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law; and his M.B.A. from Hofstra’s School of Business.  He currently teaches classes in business law and political science at Hofstra University, Farmingdale State College, and St. Joseph’s College.
