Hall of Fame Ready To Induct Seven



Travel plans are set, parade floats are being constructed, and the annual Walt Whitman Homecoming is just about here!

This year is also the fourth South Huntington Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This biennial event recognizes those graduates who have achieved distinction in their chosen fields through significant contributions or personal achievement.

Congratulations to the 2014 South Huntington Hall of Fame Inductees:

Stephen Axman - Class of 1965

Christopher Cerrone - Class of 2002

Chad Lupinacci - Class of 1997

Michael Macari, MD - Class of 1983 – Posthumously

Brenda L. Moore - Class of 1968

Jane M. (O’Donnell) Reich - Class of 1978

Genevievette Walker-Lightfoot - Class of 1990

Please join us as we honor these distinguished Walt Whitman alumni. This year’s Hall of Fame festivities, which will take place during Walt Whitman’s homecoming weekend, is on Saturday, October 18. We invite the community to stop by and say hello and welcome our distinguished honorees.

11AM- Hall of Fame Ceremony (Turf Field)

11:30AM- Homecoming Parade (Whitman Campus and surrounding neighborhoods)

12Noon- Hall of Fame Tailgate Party (Whitman Campus)

2PM- Football Game (Turf Field)
