The spirit of community service continued in full force this week as the generous members of the United Way teamed up with Huntington Coach and volunteers from Capital One Bank to donate a busload of school supplies for our South Huntington children.  There was a special feeling of cooperation in the air as supporters formed a human assembly line to unload the countless boxes of school bags, books, markers, writing tablets, pencils, pens, and more that filled the full-size bus.  “We are so very fortunate to have these community partners who join us in the special mission of educating our South Huntington children,” said Superintendent Bennardo in his weekly newsletter. A special thanks to Barbara Burke, VP, Resource Development for United Way. “Our Partnership with United Way continues to be a valuable resource to students in our district,” said Deputy Superintendent Jacci Harris.
