Whitman’s Varsity Girls Soccer team fought hard against one of Suffolk County’s top teams last Friday coming up short in a 3-1 loss. With only two seniors, the team is comprised of a few juniors and mostly sophomores. The Lady Wildcats showed good effort for such a young team and should see a steady improvement as the team builds rapport and experience. “We played tough in the first half, tying the score at 1 at half time,” said Varsity Head Coach Mike Moccia.  “Although we went down in defeat, I was happy with our teams effort.  We played hard the entire game.”
