Silas Wood Principal Mr. Steve Toto shared some of his personality traits with Ms. Cirillo’s English class recently.

During the first week of school at Silas Wood, Ms. Cirillo’s English classes created their own “Power Within” projects. Each student chose two or more weather types that described their personalities and explained why they chose them. Most of the students said they described themselves as sunny because they always have a smile on their faces.

The students then shared five fun facts about themselves that no one else would know. They discovered that many of them had a lot in common or shared the same hobbies such as having their own hobbies, or traveling around the world. Mr. Toto came to visit and shared his own “Power Within” project that the students made for him after an exclusive interview.

The class was overjoyed to hear about his personality and his fun facts! At the end of the project the students learned that they may have some things in common, or have differences, but they all have the “Power Within” them to be successful in sixth grade.
