There are great things happening in our music program, as our performing groups and students earn individual and collective honors throughout the region. Six talented Walt Whitman students have been named to the most prestigious All-State and All-National Choral groups. This remarkable honor places the winners among the top tier performers in the region, and the nation, and provides a mark of excellence that makes our school community proud.

Bravo to: Adrienne Cantave, Kalif Jones and Nicholas Magnus who were accepted into the All-National Mixed Choir. This coveted award earns our students the honor of performing with one of the most prominent groups in the United States from October 26-29 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bravo as well to: Gregory Josenhans, Caitlin Dermody, and Tyler Zeoli who were accepted into the NYSSMA All-State Conference, to be held in Rochester from December 4-7, 2014.

These achievements are testament to the efforts and dedication of these incredibly talented students and their teachers. We congratulate our dedicated choral director, Mr. Steven Altinel, as well as the supportive parents who have contributed to our students' success.
