Oakwood Primary Center held their Annual Safe-Respectful-Responsible-(SRR) Celebration Friday, and the morning couldn't have gone smoother. This SRR outdoor “Concert in the Park” celebration highlights many of the wonderful activities throughout the year. Students take part in many community minded programs and at this particular celebration, awards are given out to students who have gone above and beyond the norm. Oakwood PTA was able to secure the talents of “Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could” who led the students in a fun and event filled morning that included lots of dancing.

Congratulations to: Alexander Colavita and Tania Molina-Ugalde who won the State of New York Comptroller Achievement Award; Megan Rankel who won the Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone Certificate of Achievement, and the Wildcat Sports Camp Scholarship Award; and Jaden Taylor who also won a Wildcat Sports Camp Scholarship Award.

We also would like to congratulate our students in their exceptional showing at this year’s Victory Challenge. Congratulations “Olympic Medal” winners: Jake Casden, Giselle Alberto, Chris Portilio-Gomes, Cassidy Saravia, Josue Gomez-Benitez, Samantha Hernandez-Bustillo and Mathew Cashman.
