South Huntington’s Supervisor of Assessment and Technology, Dr. Jared Bloom, visited both Maplewood and Birchwood Intermediate Schools the other day to speak with and congratulate the student officers in each school. Superintendent Bennardo joined Dr. Bloom as students introduced each other and talked about the many school and community events in which they are involved and which ones are their favorite and why.

“You are our future leaders and we appreciate all the work you did this year. It’s really important,” said Dr. Bloom. “As you move up through the grades, your leadership skills are going to become an even bigger part of who you are, and we thank you for all of your hard work.”
