Top 25 Percent Celebrated at Long Island Science Congress Awards

The Long Island Science Congress hosted over 600 students from Nassau and Suffolk County for their annual science fair on March 20, 2014.  Twenty-five percent of the students were asked to attend a special awards ceremony, Monday, May 19th at Wheatley Middle School.  The following Stimson students received the following awards:

David H. Carson Memorial Award

Physical Science 3rd place

State Science Congress Nominee

The Shaan Khan and Chris Pileggi team presented one of 20 middle school science projects from Suffolk and Nassau County, who were nominated to participate at the State Congress Science Fair on May 31st at Brookhaven National Lab.

Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and merit in the field of science.  Good luck to Shaan and Chris on their state competition at the end of the month.
