The Vanderbilt traveling outreach program, that serves schools and community groups in the Suffolk and Nassau County area, rolled up to Stimson Middle School on Wednesday.  Mr. Goldman and his 8th grade Earth Science classes had the pleasure to experience astronomy in an exciting new way.

The Traveling Classroom consisted of several stations that offer hands-on interactive exhibits that engaged Stimson students on how astronomers acquire knowledge about the Universe. The educational modules within this museum are Light, Telescopes, Digital Imaging, The 3-D Universe, and Gravity.  Thank you Ms. Scardapane, Mr. Maddy, Mr. Goldman and Mr. Smith for bringing the Vanderbilt traveling outreach program to Stimson Middle School.
