Top Brass Farm Ocala and national trainer Robin Rost-Fairclough are please to announce that Walt Whitman Junior Merrill Harvey had a blue ribbon day on Sunday February 9, 2014 in the Children's Jumper Divisions at HITS Winter Circuit, in Ocala, Florida. And, just in case you were wondering, it was a sunny 70-degree day in Ocala.

This is a ten-week hunter/jumper horse show circuit produced by HITS, Inc. that runs from January through March annually. Since its introduction in 1982, the HITS Winter Circuit in Florida has been a fixture on the East Coast show jumping circuit. Each winter, the circuit attracts national and international participants from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe and beyond.

With 4 rides on 2 mounts, USHJA 2013 Zone 2 Stirrup Cup Champion Merrill Harvey won the $1500 Child/Adult Jumper Classic - Medium with her 13.2 hand pony Pandamonium.  Merrill also won the $1,000 S.A. Comunale Child Jumper Classic - Low on her Off-The-Track Thoroughbred ONEHECKOFARUCKUS, as well as both qualifying classes on both mounts.

Phew…and you thought keeping track of the Westminster Dog Show names was tough.

This was Merrill's first time riding at the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit. She arrived in Florida late last week and started her HITS Ocala Winter Circuit by winning the $1,000 S.A. Comunale Child Jumper Classic - Low in the Grand Prix Field on Pandamonium on Sunday of HITS 3, her first time on the Florida show grounds.

Merrill trains with Jessica and Danny Santolaya of Jumper's Creek Farm at Stanhope Stables. Pandamonium and Merrill were USEF 2013 Zone 2 Children's Jumper Champions. For more on Merrill, please see our story from last winter:
