On Valentine’s Day, almost 100 pairs of new pajamas will be delivered to the women who are undergoing chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Commack.   The generous idea was created by Linda Cepelak, a kindergarten teacher at Oakwood.  She organized the event from beginning to end that included a poetry contest for Oakwood’s 2nd graders. With the full school supporting her efforts, Ms. Cepelak sent out of flyers, collected the pajamas, wrapped and labeled each gift package, and will be delivering the pajamas to the Commack facility.

Congratulations to Ms. Cepelak and the entire Oakwood school community who took part and brought this heartfelt idea to fruition.
