Their favorite NFL teams may or may not be playing in this season's Super Bowl, but that didn’t stop the Countrywood school community from helping tackle hunger by donating cans of soup that will be given to the Huntington Food Council to help local families in need.

Countrywood’s second-grade Student Council coordinated the efforts.  Today, January 31st is the last day to donate and members of the student council got together with teachers and administrators to grab a celebratory photo.

Countrywood is especially busy today as they enjoy the last official day of PARP, the reading meter will still continue as the students get closer to their reading goal. Students are celebrating the Chinese New Year- it’s the year of the horse, it’s also warm and cozy Pajama day, and to add even more to the festivities, it’s favorite sports team jersey day.  Go Countrywood!
