Third grade students from Mrs. D’Elia and Mrs. Loria’s classes had a flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s Restaurant to raise money for an upcoming field trip. The children, families, teachers, and administrators had a great time having breakfast together. Each plate was full of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and sausage. The students especially enjoyed greeting the guests at the hostess both, seating them at tables with silverware, serving them juice and, and cleaning up the tables. The students had a real life learning experience of behind the scenes operations in a restaurant kitchen. They saw how food is prepared, coffee is made, and how cleanup preparations happen. Thank you to all who supported this worthwhile fundraiser. Our classes raised $890.00. A special thank you to Mrs. Rich, a class mom in Mrs. D’Elia class, who setup this great fundraiser.
