The campaigning is over, the well-crafted posters stashed in the recycle bin, and a new school year brings new student leaders and student representatives for each of the 25 classrooms at Birchwood Intermediate School.

There were speeches promising great things as students let their classmates know why they should get their vote. And in the end, Birchwood’s students picked their representatives and got back to the task at hand. Congratulations to each and every student who took the initiative to run for leadership positions. You all made incredible presentations and choosing just one for each slot was a hard task.  Those that did not get the most number of votes, please don’t give up your leadership aspirations, you all have bright futures ahead of you.

The following students were elected to student leadership positions:

5th Grade President, Delia Botta; 4th Grade Vice President, Joseph Gervasio; 3rd Grade Vice President, Elizabeth LaRegina; Secretary, Matthew Crocco; and Treasurer, Tyler Altamirano.
