DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

The girls varsity tennis team battled Shoreham-Wading River last night in a Section 11 crossover match.  

Winning single matches for Whitman were: Rini Halder 6-0, 6-0 and Paola Cesedes 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.   Winning matches in doubles play were: Mary Rose Stone and Eliza Wong 6-3, 6-2. Winning games were for Whitman were: Jordan Lanz,Tina O'donnell, Misha Patel, Sabrina Greenberg, Elisabeth Silverman and Laura McAuley.   The "energizer bunny" award goes to Paola Cespedes for taking it to the 3rd set and gaining a decisive win for Whitman. 

 Please come support the girls as they face Commack on Monday 9/30 at home.

The girls varsity tennis team put on their gloves this past Friday as they battled Smithtown East in a Friday night fight in League I.  Winning single matches for Whitman were: Rini Halder 6-1, 6-0.  Jordana Lanz 6-0, 6-1 and Tina O'Donnell 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.   Also winning games in doubles play were: Mary Rose Stone and Eliza Wong, Jacki Libardi and Nikki Smith.  Misha Patel and Sabrina Greenberg played their hearts out and earned the "no guts, no glory" award for the effort.

Winning single matches for Whitman were: Rini Halder 6-2, 6-0.  Paola Cespedes 6-2, 6-4 and Tina O'Donnell 7-5, 7-5.   Also winning games in doubles play were: Mary Rose Stone and Eliza Wong, Misha Patel and Sabrina Greenberg, as well as Jacki Libardi and Nikki Smith. Jordana Lanz showed both her mental and physical toughness on the court.  Her hard work and "never give up " attitude makes her a fierce competitor.
