Busy Week Slated for Homecoming

Homecoming week includes a series of dynamic student events culminating with a wonderful parade.  Homecoming offers a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the tremendous spirit inherent in our learning family, while galvanizing people of all ages behind an important community cause. To this end, we have extended the parade to include a portion of Jericho Turnpike before progressing down Collins Place and Peachtree Lane before arriving back at the high school.  Our students have been working hard on their floats, and the marching band, cheerleaders, and dance team stand ready to anchor the show.

We also have representation from the Huntington Manor Fire Department, who will be bringing trucks to add excitement to the parade route. In addition, our local Scouts, VFW and Public Library Teen Council will be marching shoulder to shoulder with our local elected officials in support of the community.

Our high school, middle school and junior varsity athletes and cheerleaders will also be joining us in uniform; and the Oakwood, Countrywood, Birchwood and Maplewood attendees have decided to march as a unified group (elementary and primary children must be accompanied by an adult).

We are also inviting our wonderful faculty and staff to join us for the march, as we showcase the talented adults and students that make us proud.  We welcome you to catch the spirit, enjoy the parade, stay for the football game, and be part of the special South Huntington Day.
