Seven from Whitman Inducted into New York State Business and Marketing Honor Society

Walt Whitman business teacher Mr. Robert Callahan, along with Principal Kathie Acker, inducted seven students into the New York State Business and Marketing Honor Society.

The primary purpose of The New York State Business and Marketing Honor Society is to recognize students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in a secondary Business/Marketing program.

Sophomores and juniors selected for this honor must have a minimum of 2 units of Business/Marketing course work and seniors must have 3 units of Business/Marketing course work.

In addition, students must maintain an 88% Business/Marketing Course GPA as well as a minimum overall GPA of 80%.

All Business and Marketing Honor Society candidates must also demonstrate good character, leadership qualities, and service to their school and/or community.
