Whitman Has Excellent Showing at Le Grand Concours.

Walt Whitman’s French Students recently competed in 2013 Le Grand Concours and once again did a great job at this annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Students of French in all 50 states and abroad take a written test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes.   Grades 1-6 participate in the FLES Contest.  Grades 7-12 in the Secondary Contest.

Walt Whitman High School had an excellent showing with the following students making it among the top 20 nationally and among top 10 in the Suffolk Chapter.
