Overview:  This activity will help the students practice reading  the /u/ sound in  their spelling words in order to correctly complete the sentences. The students will also use their typing skills to complete each sentence.

Lesson Sequence:

1) Using the overhead monitor the teacher will review the week’s spelling words.

2) Review that the /u/ sound may be spelled in different ways, oo, ue, ew.

3) Demonstrate how to double click on the spelling word in the cloud in order to drag it to the correct sentence.

4) Complete the first one as a class. Activity may be used as an independent activity.
