Lesson Title:    Words with /ô/ a, aw, au, augh

Overview: In this activity students will blend and read words with the sound of /ô/. They will then write them in the correct chalkboard.

Lesson Sequence:

1) Using the overhead monitor class will review words with the /ô/ sound

2) As you review the words in the top chalkboard remind the students that the /ô/ can appear as ‘a’, ‘aw’, ‘au’, and ‘augh’.  Usually ‘aw’ appears at the end of a word, and ‘a’, au’, and ‘augh’ appear in the middle of a word.
 

3) Read the directions, Write the word where they belong. Review how to double click in the shape in order to write in it.

4) Complete the first one as a class. Activity may be use as an independent activity.
