Overview:  This activity will enable the student to practice using the correct linking verb by dragging the words to correctly complete each sentence . A linking verb is a verb that does not show action.

Lesson Sequence:

1) Using the overhead monitor the teacher will re- introduce the concept of linking verbs.

2) Review that a linking verb is a word that connects the noun to another word or words that describe the noun. Ex.  The tree is tall.  Is, is the linking verb.

3) Read the directions, Drag a Linking word to complete each sentence correctly. Review how to drag a word to a new position on the screen.

4) Complete the first one as a class. Activity may be use as an independent activity.
